So apparently this makes me a neocon!

I agree with the left on almost every issue there is. I opposed the war in Iraq, I'm anti racist, anti fascist, pro union, pro the redistribution of wealth, pro national health.

I believe in equality for women, homosexuals and all races. We are all equal and I think the policy of governments should reflect that reality.

So what is the problem?

Well I don't believe in cultural relativism, multiculturalism or being politically correct. If all humans are equal then they should all be equally open to criticism and expect to be held to the same standards as wider society.

Also I believe that the far right must be opposed no matter what country they come from or what colour their skin is. More importantly the left should never support theocrats and the far right.

I don't think America is evil and I support Israel's right to exist. I don't believe that capitalism is evil, I don't believe that the mass media is used by evil democratic governments (which are just fronts for the corporations of course) to manufacture consent.

I don't think that white racism and evil liberal democracies are the causes of all the world ills. I don't think that crime is the cry of the oppressed and that it would dry up if we only stopped being so oppressive.

I do think that penalties for violent crime should be harsh and I think the police should be given the powers to enforce the law without fear of the unwritten laws of the politically correct.

These things have put me in direct conflict with the mainstream left. For them I am a heretic.

I have many thoughts on this strange situation and all of the issues that feed into it. I will write more and post links to articles and videos I find interesting.

I hope this sparks a sensible debate and doesn't attract the usual idiotic denunciations of racism or support from racists for that matter.

Peace
